[W]HOLE

Four arches rise overhead, scattered until you find the one place they resolve into a single circle. This is [W]HOLE. On the ground, a small mast listens for our presence in the Bluetooth signals our devices quietly broadcast. Each one it hears becomes a white flicker. Step into the circle marked at its base and your presence pulses through all four arches, a wave crossing the whole form before it fades.

A ripple is a disturbance moving outward. Water, air, signal. We make them constantly, unseen. Here, that one is yours.

Artist Bio:
Jordan Shaw is a Toronto-based artist and creative technologist. [W]HOLE is a static anamorphic sculpture revealed only through viewer movement, sending ripples of light through its LED circle, echoing the signals that connect us.
