Join us to celebrate Welcome to Paradise, a maximalist exhibition that explores the tension between the challenges of late-stage capitalism and our desire for genuine connection.
Combining Stephanie Avery’s street art practice with her studio work, the exhibition transforms reclaimed advertisements, condo signage, and everyday objects into vibrant paintings, sculptures, and installations that parody the promises of capitalism while celebrating resilience, humour, and collective care. Through playful interventions and unexpected materials, Welcome to Paradise asks how we might reclaim spaces of powerlessness, embrace life’s absurdity, and create joy where it’s least expected. The show is a reminder that each of us holds the ability to initiate positive change, even by being silly (maybe especially by being silly).
