Trail

Trail is an array of vectors; line segments forming a pathway of light.
Motion sensors are placed along the courtyard and the lights will respond to your presence. Alone, your movements influence the lighting patterns. But, when multiple people engage with the work from different directions, their movements are magnified with more intensity.

Taking action together has a ripple effect on the lighting sequence, inviting curiosity, exploration and teamwork. The artist feels that collective action can offer a sense of warmth and fellowship.

The artist hopes that this responsive, interactive component can offer a chance for strangers to engage with one another, and to show how your individual actions leave an impression that reverberates through the world.
