In commemoration of International Coffee Day, join us for an immersive celebration of Indonesian coffee featuring expert insights, a coffee talk, and a tasting experience showcasing distinctive Indonesian origins.
The event will begin with opening remarks by the Indonesian Consul General in Toronto, Hon. Vevie Damayanti, leading into the first session: “Talk Over Coffee.” This panel discussion features three prominent figures from Toronto’s specialty coffee scene, exploring topics ranging from GTA coffee culture and emerging trends to market opportunities for Indonesian coffee in Canada, namely Tjahjadi (Yadi) Arifin, Owner & Director of FIKA Café Toronto; Azamat Nogoev, Founder of Highly Likely Coffee Toronto; and Chanthaly T., Founder of Hexagon Coffee Inc. The second session invites attendees to experience an exclusive Indonesian coffee tasting. Guests can discover the rich diversity of the archipelago through celebrated single-origin specialties, including Aceh Gayo, Sumatra Mandheling, Java Ijen, Bali Kintamani, Sulawesi Toraja, and Flores Bajawa. To round out the experience, a live acoustic set by Suara Arema band featuring popular favorites will provide the backdrop as guests sip and connect.
