The Sad Collective is a community who firmly believes in the power of vulnerability. Too often, mental illness is erased, hidden, made invisible from daily life, but the truth is that 20% of Canadians will experience some form of mental illness in their lifetime, and 10-20% of Canadian youth are affected by a mental disorder. Not only does The Sad Collective strive to be a safe space for emotional expression — they hope to become a catalyst for conversation, with the goal of bringing mental health to the forefront of social consciousness.
The Sad Collective will be hosting a portrait gallery and open mic performance space throughout COMEBACK.
