In celebration of seven years of supporting local artists, STACKT market presents a highly anticipated exhibition by Iraqi Canadian artist Mais Al-Sheikhly. Marking her first exhibition in Toronto in six years, the show brings together a vibrant and carefully curated body of work that reflects both a personal and collective milestone.
At the heart of the exhibition is her 2026 collection He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not (Daisy Series), a new and significant evolution in her practice. Created using oil paint for the first time alongside her signature use of acrylic and mixed media, the series introduces a softer yet deliberate language, where themes of innocence, hope, and emotional duality unfold through layered surfaces and refined compositions. This technical shift marks a pivotal moment in the artist’s journey, expanding both material depth and expressive range.
Presented alongside the Daisy series is a selection of works previously exhibited during Art Basel Week in Miami, bringing internationally recognized pieces into dialogue with her newest explorations. Together, the works create a dynamic tension between past and present, intensity and restraint, structure and vulnerability. Defined by bright and luminous palettes and energetic compositions, the exhibition mirrors the celebratory spirit of STACKT Market’s 7 Year Anniversary. Each piece carries a sense of vitality and movement, inviting viewers into an immersive experience that reflects on emotion, identity, and the evolving human condition.
