BOUNDARY presents a light travelling between the digital and physical space. By choreographing movements at the border between virtuality and physicality, the installation invites the audience to muse on the definition of the true boundary of the mechanical being.

Zerno is an interactive audiovisual installation: you play, and worlds are born. Its algorithm catches the seed of a motif, the beginning of a musical thought, and from that seed a landscape grows. Nothing is scored, so there is no wrong way to start. A single gesture ripples outward into a whole world, and what you leave behind stays in the landscape for the next person who plays.
Zerno is by Dorraa (Daria Morgacheva), a Toronto musician, keyboardist and installation artist. The visual system is developed in collaboration with Sound Palette Inc.

BIRDWORLD is a participatory installation of migratory birds traversing a digital sky. As visitors draw their birds, each joins a growing flock. With music by Graham Steinman.

People of the future are doing digital archeology– in the same way that we describe hunter gatherers, they’ll also personify us. Today, digital topography is uncharted and vast. Our ancestors’ way was to live harmoniously with the land. Will my digital footprint outlive me and reflect everything I was and ought to be? Dear reader, interact with our topographic survey. A cathartic flood of moving images and sound shaped by you, this mesmerizing immersive installation invites you to recombine cinematic material in unexpected ways, letting fixed meanings and familiar contexts loosen and drift away.

From behind a mirrored labyrinth, an accumulating digital landscape of projected ghostly recordings cunningly unmasks the unsettling virtual circus of our collective capture, probing at the conventional divides between audience/performer, digital/physical, reality/simulation.

Four arches rise overhead, scattered until you find the one place they resolve into a single circle. This is [W]HOLE. On the ground, a small mast listens for our presence in the Bluetooth signals our devices quietly broadcast. Each one it hears becomes a white flicker. Step into the circle marked at its base and your presence pulses through all four arches, a wave crossing the whole form before it fades. A ripple is a disturbance moving outward. Water, air, signal. We make them constantly, unseen. Here, that one is yours.

Entanglements is an interactive TouchDesigner installation in which the audience reshapes a digital landscape through MIDI controls. At the same time, live climate and weather data gathered through APIs subtly shifts its visual palette and behaviour. Responding to MULTIfest’s “Ripple Effect” theme, the work entangles human actions, natural phenomena and system responses in a co-creative process.

M. Joakim is a light artist and composer from Toronto. Trail is a motion-activated pathway of light, where lighting sequences are influenced by your presence; a ripple effect across strangers.

Radial Bloom transforms a shipping container with walls of laser light that shift in response to viewers’ movements. Motorized mirrors sweep the beams through the space, creating luminous partitions that continually reshape its interior in colourful patterns.

Six works loop and circulate across the installation, creating shifting encounters between artworks, screens, and audiences. Extending Noxte.app’s approach to discovering, collecting, and curating digital art, the installation is fluid and evolving: A Ripple Effect, where works move between contexts and configurations, allowing images, ideas, and connections to reverberate across physical and digital space.
