Welcome to Paradise is a maximalist exhibition that explores the tension between the challenges of late-stage capitalism and our desire for genuine connection. Combining Stephanie Avery’s mural practice with her studio work, the exhibition transforms reclaimed advertisements, condo signage, and everyday objects into vibrant paintings, sculptures, and installations that parody the promises of capitalism while celebrating resilience, humour, and collective care. Through playful interventions and unexpected materials, Welcome to Paradise asks how we might reclaim spaces of powerlessness, embrace life’s absurdity, and create joy where it’s least expected.

Takes a Village Music is a Toronto-based collective of rotating artists, producers, and musicians, led by music producer and creative director Corey “HMLT” Wong. The group’s catalogue is born from a weekly session known as “Potluck,” where various creatives come together to contribute their musical flavour. Driven by Toronto’s cultural diversity, the music reflects a wide range of influences—from Western R&B traditions to UK garage—creating a sound that feels globally informed yet locally grounded.
