You make pasta fresh every day here at STACKT market Toronto – tell us more about that process and why the craft matters so much to you.
We make our pasta fresh every morning. We use high quality durum wheat semolina and water at different hydrations to get the perfect chew for each shape. Fresh pasta cooks differently, absorbs sauce differently, and has a completely different bite. Fresh is the feature.
What makes Sundays Pasta Lab such a favourite food stop inside this Toronto street market?
In a market full of options, we offer something comforting but elevated. Fresh pasta made to order within minutes. It’s simple, consistent, and intentional. We believe that level of convenience and quality resonates with people.
How did Sundays first begin, and how has that shaped the way you think about food and community today?
Sundays started around family dinners, long tables, slow sauces, recipes passed down. That foundation still guides us. Food is about connection, and we try to bring that feeling into every bowl.

For someone searching for fresh pasta in Toronto, what’s the first thing you’d recommend they try?
Start with Tommy, our slow-simmered tomato sauce. It’s simple, balanced, and lets the fresh pasta shine. If you want something richer, Sundays Best is our true Sunday dinner in a bowl.
A lot of your menu nods to childhood flavours and Sunday dinners – where do those inspirations come from?
From our mothers and grandmothers. Dishes like KIMA and Sundays Best are rooted in family recipes that we now bring in a convenient format.
Fresh pasta isn’t something you often see served in a market setting – what reactions do you get from people discovering you in this Toronto vendors market?
Surprise at first. Then curiosity. And once they taste it, they understand. People don’t really expect fresh pasta in a market, but that discovery is definitely part of the fun.
From pasta shapes to sauces and add-ins, how do you think about creativity while keeping things simple and flavour-forward?
We limit ourselves on purpose. Creativity isn’t about adding more; it’s about refining and balancing. Almost all of our toppings go with all of our sauces, which is difficult to do if you have a million options. This way, we’re sure our customers get something that’s been tried and tested.
As we head into spring and summer, are there new flavours, pairings, or ideas people should keep an eye out for?
Our STACKT location is evolving this year into more of a creative lab. It’s where we’ll explore new flavour ideas, and experiment more boldly, while staying true to the high quality and freshness people expect from Sundays. Lots of exciting things ahead, so stay tuned.
STACKT’s all about making space – for creativity, connection, and culture. What’s your perfect day at STACKT, and how does it capture the spirit of “SPACE FOR US” for you?
A sunny Sunday afternoon, music playing, people sitting with a cup of SUNDAYS BEST, laughing and living life. STACKT has always been about the community and connection, we’re grateful to be the ones feeding it!
