One last gathering at our holiday pop-up @stacktmarket x Ottawa @bywardmarket!✨ As this beautiful month comes to a close, we want to thank you for the warmth, curiosity, and generosity you brought into the space. The conversations, shared stories, and intercultural exchanges have shaped this storefront in ways we could never have planned. To mark the moment, we’re inviting you to come and batik your New Year wishes with us! Add your hopes and intentions to a collective batik scarf, which will be dyed later as well – carrying many hands, many voices, and many futures within it. This idea was inspired by a belief shared by my indigo teacher @zahirwidadi from Indonesia: that the canting tulis is not just a wax-drawing tool, but a way of writing symbols onto cloth in the form of prayers and wishes.
