In celebration of Asian Heritage Month and Mental Health Awareness Month 2025, Asian Arts and Culture Trust (AACT) invites you to a Gentle Qi Yoga Flow guided by Shima Fard. This practice is inspired by the flow of Qi—life force energy—rooted in traditional Chinese medicine and martial arts. Join us for a graceful, fluid session that connects energy, breath, and subtle movement. Shima will lead a one-hour meditative practice that explores the space between breath and movement, all within the immersive setting of the Interwoven Identities exhibition at STACKT market’s North Gallery. Surrounded by community-rooted art, this experience is perfect for cultivating awareness, appreciation, and inner harmony. Shima Fard is a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher based in Toronto, with a background in architectural design and a passion for the art of slowing down. Since discovering yoga in 2015 as a way to navigate stress, she has dedicated herself to supporting others in their journeys of reconnection. Her classes blend breathwork, gentle movement, and intentional stillness, creating a nurturing and soulful space for grounding, reflection, and balance. Shima’s approach is rooted in the belief that through presence, we return home to ourselves. Please bring your own yoga mat, a water bottle to stay hydrated, and arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the session.
